My organization has been a consistent user of Connectyx MRN Manager^tm for over a year and I would like to take the opportunity to share some of the outstanding performance and economic benefits derived from its usage.

Previous to the usage of MRN Manger^tm my collection staff had on average spent approximately 20% of their hourly work week photocopying and researching ERN copies for the purposes of resubmission. With the use of MRN Manager^tm we were able to minimize our collections staff time utilization to less than 2.5% of their work week. While this may seem like an excellent return on investment it does not compare to the cost savings resulting from the reporting functions of the MRN program.

Prior to the usage of the MRN software, our facility had a minimal capacity to truly manage insurance denials. Upper management would spend hours sifting through paper reports and would attempt to record data into excel spreadsheets. Even after this process we still did not have a good interpretation of what products we were being paid on and in what time frame. Once we started using the MRN Manager^tm we were finally able to get a clear picture of our insurance denials and were able to use this picture to fine tune our product selection in coordination with product payment abilities.

Overall, after one years usage of the MRN Manager^tm our total Medicare accounts receivable was reduced by 22% and a insurance write offs were reduced by over 15% resulting in tens of thousands of dollars in savings.

It is in my opinion that the usage of the MRN denial management system is a necessity for any organization in the insurance reimbursement business to effectively and efficiently operate an insurance collections department.

I have been billing Medicare for over 29 years and it’s a delight to finally have a program that not only makes filing secondary claims fast and easy, you can actually do it from your computer. No more coping EOMBs and blacking out names and the EOMB is accepted by all insurance companies.

Since we started using MRN Manager^tm, my staff has saved a lot of time when working collection on secondary payers. They would never go back to the old system. No time consuming scanning. Just download your ERNS and upload them into the program. It’s that simple.

That is only half of what MRN Manager^tm does. You are also able to analyze your denials in real time without sending your data off premises. Management has access to data as current as your last ERN. The program can tell you denials by HCPC or Denial code. You can send reports to an Excel file for further analysis. I have been able to save a lot of time tracking denials and I receive more detailed information than I would ever have time to compile on my own.

With all the cuts the industry is experiencing, MRN Manager^tm is a must for any DME company that wants to have a better control of their Accounts Receivable.

In the past 4 months of use, we have seen a significantly faster turn-around on our secondary payments. Many automatically cross-over from Medicare to the secondary, the remainder seems to go to the bottom of the stack.

With the MRN Manager^tm they now get printed and out before the reviews or other corrections. Not having to go to the copy machine, practice origami, or otherwise conceal other patient information has saved my department four to four and a half work days per month. The time savings has paid for the program.

My initial concern about the "copy" not being accepted by some insurance companies has been proven incorrect. Not one insurance company has returned or refused the computer generated notice. We have tracked paper submitted claims with the MRN Manager^tm EOMB to within 15 to 20 days.

For denial management software I love MRN Manager^tm. I cannot get my billing manager to stop playing with it! It has fantastic features and is.....cheaper than that other one.
